Meet Trent
The Journey from Trauma to Triumph

People often meet Trent today as a speaker, author, TBRI® Practitioner, and advocate for children and families. They see the confidence, the passion, and the purpose.

What they don't always see is the little boy who once carried a backpack filled with fear, rejection, abuse, neglect, and loss.
Before he ever stepped onto a stage, Trent spent his early childhood navigating domestic violence, sexual abuse, neglect, and the uncertainty of foster care. By the age of nine, he had lived in multiple homes before finally finding the family that would forever change the trajectory of his life through adoption.

Healing didn't happen overnight.
It happened one relationship at a time.
One lesson at a time.
One act of grace at a time.
Those experiences didn't define Trent, but they shaped the calling God placed on his life.

Today, Trent has dedicated his life to helping children, teens, caregivers, churches, and professionals better understand the impact of trauma while pointing them toward hope and healing. His unique perspective comes from standing on both sides of the journey, first as a child living through trauma and now as a practitioner, educator, mentor, and speaker equipping others to walk alongside those still carrying invisible backpacks.

As a TBRI® Practitioner, Board Certified Master Mental Health Coach, author, and nationally recognized speaker, Trent combines professional training with lived experience to communicate in a way that is practical, relatable, and deeply authentic. His message reaches beyond information; it creates understanding, builds connection, and inspires transformation.

Whether he's speaking to thousands from a conference stage, leading a caregiver training, mentoring a young person, or sitting across the table from a family in crisis, Trent's mission remains the same: To help people discover that while trauma may shape part of your story, it never has to determine your future.

Above all else, Trent desires for every person he encounters to know the hope found in Jesus Christ. His story is not ultimately one of foster care or adoption; it is a story of redemption. A story of a God who takes what has been broken, restores it with extraordinary grace, and uses it to bring hope to others.
Today, Trent isn't simply telling his story.
He's helping others rewrite theirs.
